Tiger's Nest Monastery perched on a steep forested cliff in bright daylight

Short Journey

Tiger's Nest Hike

3 Days / 2 Nights Paro

A short Bhutan experience featuring the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery.

Overview

Taktsang — the Tiger's Nest — is the image every traveller carries of Bhutan: a white monastery pinned to a sheer granite cliff, 900 metres above the forest floor. Reaching it on foot is a pilgrimage, a workout and a privilege all at once.

This three-day journey is designed for travellers adding Bhutan to a wider Himalayan trip, with time also for Paro Dzong, the National Museum, Kyichu Lhakhang and an evening in the valley.
